Being physically active began as soon as Dana was able to walk.
Her dad spent countless hours playing outside with her, teaching her
how to throw a football, shoot a basketball, and hit a softball. At
the age of 5, she began gymnastics and was a competitive gymnast until the
age of 14. Her high school years included basketball, cross country, track,
and travel softball.
Like most women; however, after getting married and having 3 boys in just 4 years, her well-being took a back seat for several years. It wasn’t until 2012, that she walked through the doors of Crossfit 77, having never heard of Crossfit or functional fitness. From the first class, she knew this is where she belonged. The depth of knowledge and competitive component of Crossfit77 awoke a part of her that had been dormant for years. Since then, she has competed in CrossFit competitions, has been coaching for over 3 years, and was even hired as an extra in the Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2! She believes that all of this has been possible because of Crossfit77 and she plan to pay it forward as long as God enables her.
Dana is a wife and a mother of three sons. She enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, backpacking, snowboarding, arm wrestling, and competiting in CrossFit competitions
